Index – Sport – According to Attila Sávolt, Fábián Marozsán can even become a Grand Slam-winning tennis player

As we reported this week, Fábián Marozsán, who has a reputation as a giant killer, knocks the world’s best tennis players off the court one after the other in Miami. The Hungarian tennis player, who is currently 38th in the live world rankings, defeated Holger Rune, Alexei Popyrin, and the ninth-ranked Alex De Minaur in the morning on Wednesday, so he can prepare for the quarterfinals of the masters tournament for the second time in his career – after Shanghai.

Without exaggeration, the Hungarian tennis player comes up with a world-class game in every match, the whole tennis community is in awe of it, so the leaders of the Hungarian federation could not ignore Marozsán’s amazing results. In the video interview published by the Hungarian Tennis Association, the professional director, Attila Sávolt, the development director, Kornél Bardóczky, and the national team captain of the Hungarian Davis Cup team, Zoltán Nagy, praised the 24-year-old tennis player.

Fábián’s performance is a great joy and pride for all of us, as he has defeated players in the past few days who are without exaggeration among the best in the world. This bodes well for a fantastic future for him, and although we know that he is 24 years old, he will still have an awful lot of time to develop. I can say that in the future he will even become a Grand Slam tournament winning tennis player

Attila Sávolt looked ahead. The development director of the association, Kornél Bardóczky, pointed out that Marozsán’s performance is not such a surprise to them, as they know exactly how much potential lies in him, and if he plays well, he can be dangerous for any world star. Bardóczky added that the success of the 24-year-old tennis player is also a positive feedback from the point of view of the association, as he excelled in the MTSZ association in his junior years and proved that such great success can be achieved even starting from Hungary.

I told him at the beginning of the year that I think he is mature enough to be a worthy opponent of the best in the world. The level of the thousand category tournaments is very close to that of the Grand Slam tournaments, so it is really sensational what he provides match after match these days. His game came together and all signs pointed to a good result

Davis Cup captain Zoltán Nagy explained.

It is important to note that Fábián Marozsán’s next opponent in the quarter-finals will be Alexander Zverev, with whom, according to preliminary plans, he would have already fought in the qualifiers for the Davis Cup World Finals in February, but then the German did not accept the game. Now, however, their match has come together, in which the Hungarian tennis player will have absolutely no chance against Zverev, the fifth in the world ranking.

The match will be played on Thursday evening or Friday morning according to Hungarian time.
