When Tyson Met Hasbulla: The Ultimate Showdown of Misunderstandings
Ah, the Internet—where confusion reigns supreme and any day could lead to a heavyweight boxing champion embracing a pint-sized influencer like they just reunited after a decade-long separation. Last year, the moment the entire cyber world witnessed Mike Tyson “boxing” Hasbulla, we collectively tilted our heads and thought, “Wait, is this real life?”
Meet Hasbulla: The Pocket-Sized Phenomenon
For those just tuning in, Hasbulla Magomedov isn’t just your average TikTok sensation. This 22-year-old Russian influencer hails from the Dargin region and has dwarfism due to a growth hormone deficiency. Standing at a staggering 102 centimeters (which is about the height of a small dog) and weighing just 20 kilograms, he’s captivated hearts everywhere since exploding onto our screens in 2021. And no, he isn’t just another viral meme; Hasbulla embodies charisma that could fill a stadium—even if he couldn’t reach the mic!
Mike Doesn’t Know His Height from His Elbow
Now, enter Mike Tyson—a man known more for his ferocious hooks and cagey comebacks than for reading the room. It appears Mike didn’t exactly grasp the essence of Hasbulla when they first met. On a podcast with Andre Ward, Tyson casually revealed, “I thought he was a baby. I didn’t know.” I mean, can you imagine the confused look on Mike’s face? It’s like thinking you’re steeling for battle at the Iron Throne and instead sitting down for tea with a toddler!
“He hit me. I don’t know, man. That’s how I am with children. I hugged this guy, he’s 26 years old…”
Ah yes, Classic Tyson! A man who could throw a punch but slips into a parental state when confronted with anything that resembles childlike wonder. At that moment, boxing wasn’t the only “punch” we all felt; it was the narrative of grown men getting snuggly with tiny debonair individuals!
Hasbulla’s TikTok Adventures
While Mike’s out here hiring cuddles and unintentional headlocks, Hasbulla has been wrestling his way into the hearts of millions. With a repertoire that includes everything from car-jacking (figuratively, of course) to engaging in dramatic tussles with fellow influencers and fighters, Hasbulla’s definitely not afraid to embrace his quirky side. The New York Times noted he finds joy in wielding guns, driving fast cars, practicing fighting moves, and pulling pranks. Move over, action heroes; we’ve got a pint-sized dynamo ready to steal the spotlight! And let’s be honest, a 20-kilogram fighter casually taking on adults could make for great live comedy.
An Unexpected Ally in the UFC
And just when you thought Hasbulla couldn’t possibly get any more influential, he went ahead and signed a lucrative five-year promotional deal with the UFC. Because why not? If trying to outrun a child who can’t quite hit the top shelf isn’t exhilarating enough, let’s get him in the octagon! They might want to raise the minimum height requirement, though; it could be difficult to spot him amongst the 6-foot giants stomping around.
The Rivalry with Abdu Rozik
But wait, there’s more—Hasbulla has a playful rivalry with fellow influencer Abdu Rozik, who also faces dwarfism. These light-hearted spats have propelled both into a stratosphere of shared, competitive goofiness, with their antics proving that comedy and camaraderie are often shared under similarly short roofs. After all, in the ridiculous and sometimes bewildering world we live in, nothing says “let’s be friends” like assembling a gaggle of shorts to tussle over who can pull off the best viral clip!
Concluding Thoughts on This Whimsical Encounter
So, where does this leave us? With a classic tale of how the Internet proves it can throw legendary figures like Tyson and enchanting influencers like Hasbulla into one ironically entertaining clash of absurdities. As we kick back and watch this unlikely duo continue to dance across our screens, we can’t help but wonder: if a heavyweight champion can mistake a social media star for a baby, what are the odds we’re all, perhaps, a bit like Mike? Confused, amused, and utterly entertained.

Last year, the entire Internet was confused by the video in which the American heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson “boxed” the then 20-year-old Hasbulla, then embraced and kissed the young boy.
Hasbulla Magomedov is a Dargin Russian influencer who suffers from dwarfism caused by growth hormone deficiency. As a result, he is only 102 centimeters tall and weighs 20 kilograms. The young man, who is currently 22 years old, gained fame in 2021 thanks to a TikTok video with which he immediately stole into everyone’s hearts.
But as it turns out, Mike Tyson knew none of this when he met Hasbulla. To Andre Ward a The Art Of Ward in a podcast he revealedthat he really looked at the dwarf plant influenza as a small child.
I thought he was a baby. I didn’t know. He hit me. I don’t know, man. That’s how I am with children. I hugged this guy, he’s 26 years old…
the heavyweight boxer revealed.
By the way, Hasbulla has been constantly pouring out videos of himself ever since, in which he usually wrestles and fights with children or adults, drives a car, and commits various pranks. The New York Times wrote that his passions are “wielding guns, driving fast cars, practicing fighting moves and pulling pranks.” He also works with high-profile MMA fighters and other personalities such as Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachchev, Alexander Volkanovski, Dana White, Mark Wahlberg, Luquitas Rodríguez, Shaquille O’Neal and the Nelk Boys.
In September 2022, Hasbulla signed a five-year promotional contract with the UFC. Especially popular were his satirical videos, in which Abdu Rozik had a bad time with a Tajik playback singer, a boxer and an influencer. Doctors also diagnosed 21-year-old Abdu with dwarfism, so his growth also stopped at 115 centimeters.
