After a long, serious illness, Mónika Pesitz, an actor of the Szabadka Folk Theater’s Hungarian Company, died on Wednesday, writes the Pannon RTV.
The 48-year-old actress was born in Óbecsé and grew up in Péterrévé. After graduating from the Academy of Drama in Novi Sad, he signed a contract with the Hungarian Company of the Folk Theater in Szatka. During his career, he received several awards, including the Pataki Ring Award in 2018.
Her husband, Árpád Csernik, was the first to share the news of her death on his social media page. As he wrote, Mónika Pesitz died “after a long, heroic and brave struggle”.
