The news of the American rapper’s death shook his fans, but also his immediate fellow musicians, his tour manager, DJ Pure Cold, said goodbye to him on Instagram, which was shared by TMZ:
I’m honestly at a loss for words… You’ve traveled the world with me and I’ve performed alongside you on the world’s biggest and grandest stages, the things you’ve taught me have truly made me who I am today. Thank you very much, I love you x.
Reminisce Festival, where Fatman Scoop was scheduled to perform on September 7, also posted the following on Instagram: “It is with the deepest pain that we at Reminisce have learned of the tragic death of the legendary Isaac Freeman III, known as Fatman Scoop. This loss has broken all of our hearts.”
He passed out on stage on Friday night
On August 30, Friday night, a scary scene was recorded at Fatman Scoop’s concert, as the performer passed out on stage. People rushed over to try to revive him. The authorities were notified a few minutes after 9:30 p.m., and they immediately rushed to the scene.
The video shows local paramedics performing chest compressions on the rapper behind the DJ booth. The music suddenly stopped, the crowd went quiet, and the rapper was revived and taken out on a stretcher.
Over the years, Fatman Scoop has worked with many big names in the music industry, including Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey.
