Index – Abroad – Ukraine’s next ambassador to Budapest may come from the Bahamut front

In response to hvg.hu’s inquiry, Sándor Fegyir confirmed the news – which appeared in the press yesterday – that he might be Ukraine’s ambassador to Budapest. In response to the newspaper’s question, he wrote that he was near the Bahmut front, where he received notification of the above.

Earlier, Marija Mezenceva, a Ukrainian member of parliament active in European integration matters, told the newspaper that they are looking for a person for the Budapest ambassador who has a good linguistic and cultural relationship with the country, has a good professional background and is able to conduct serious negotiations.

He gave lectures to his university students from bullet holes

Sándor Fegyir became known in the Hungarian press last spring, following the professor of the Ungvár National University gave lectures to his students directly from the trenches. Sándor Fegyir recently wrote regarding it in a Facebook post that, like hundreds of Transcarpathian Hungarians, several teachers of Ungvár University are fighting at the front.

In his post at the time, he pointed out that “politicians are doing everything to turn Hungarians and Ukrainians once morest each other. They artificially incite scandals and incite conflicts”.
