Indert with the goal of delivering 8,000 property titles in the department of Guairá

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The president of the Rural and Land Development Institute (Indert), Francisco Ruiz Díaz, met with officials from the regional office of the department of Guairá to plan the tasks of verifying plots and to deliver 8,000 property titles.

This will be possible through an agreement with the Guairá Governorate, in order to regularize the legal situation of thousands of families of small producers.

In 11 months of management, the Institute awarded 346 titles, which represents eleven times more than what was awarded in the period 2018-2023.

Ruiz Díaz pointed out the importance of the Massive Property Sweep (BPM) to speed up the verification procedures. His meeting in Guairá with local officials aimed to plan the BPM tasks that will begin in the coming days.

Since the beginning of the current administration, Indert has delivered a record number of 6,500 property titles, exceeding by 5% the number delivered during the five years of the previous administration.

“We have adapted the institution to the instructions of the President and Vice President of the Republic to deliver property titles to those who actually work the land. This is the priority to promote development. A property title gives the possibility of accessing credit, receiving technical assistance and more,” he said.

In addition to the BPM, the Indert has greater coordination with the Cadastre Directorate and the Public Registry Directorate, along with the reduction of interest rates, by 8% for male owners and 12% for female owners, which encourages settlers to carry out regularization procedures.
