Raleigh.- The national month began: September, and throughout the state the celebrations began on the occasion of the Independence of Mexico, the most important civic holiday for Mexicans.

One of them is the Independence Cry Festival that will be held by the Consulate General of Mexico on September 15 in Dorothea Dix Park, in Raleigh.

People are invited to attend the celebration without forgetting their typical costumes, flags, chairs and blankets to commemorate the 213 years of Independence of the Aztec country.

Oscar Solís, media and press consul of the consulate, said that the event will be held in the same place as last year.

The appointment is from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, he added, and people can bring their own food, but they are asked not to bring alcoholic beverages.

In collaboration with Dix Park, attendees are invited to the civic event, said Solís, who commented that they expect about 3,000 people to attend the event.

Culture and tradition

“The Independence Cry Festival is an event that unites hearts and celebrates the spirit of Mexico,” highlights the consulate’s invitation on its social networks.

He adds that it is a perfect opportunity to share with family and friends where Mexicans will experience a night of culture, tradition and joy.
