ACTRESS Indah Permatasari has her own rules in taking care of and raising her first child with comedian Arie Kriting.
“I have my own rules for taking care of children. So, everyone has to follow them. So, you can’t suddenly be different. So, just be committed,” said Indah while visiting the Antara Heritage Center in Jakarta, Friday (12/7).
Indah does not always follow the parenting methods conveyed by public figures because she feels that their methods are not necessarily right and in line with what she wants as a parent. She chooses to do research and ask experts directly, including pediatricians, regarding child care and upbringing.
Indah exclusively breastfed her child, usually called Naka, from birth until she was one year old. She also paid attention to her child’s sleep time so that she might grow well. In preparing food for her child, the actress of the film Sakaratul Maut tried to meet her child’s nutritional needs without adding flavorings.
Indah is grateful that her husband gives her full support and always accompanies her in taking care of her child since she was still in the womb. “My husband is very supportive, mentally, financially, and so on, he is very supportive. He always tries to know how I am. Not only is he paying attention to my child, but also his condition.
her mother was also asked. So, I feel really helped,” she said.
Thanks to the support of her husband and family, Indah did not experience baby blues, a psychological disorder experienced by women following giving birth. However, the 27-year-old actress also faced her own challenges in raising her child, including trying to understand the child’s desires and emotions.
“When she started entering her second year, her nature just came out. When she wants something, period, no compromise, no debate, suddenly crying without knowing the reason. That’s what I’m feeling now. It’s just homework for me in the future,” she said. Indah is currently still learning to understand her child and learning to be a good parent for her child. (Ant/Z-2)
