IND vs SA | De Coke Century; India set a target of 288 for victory

India set a target of 288 for victory in the third ODI between India and South Africa. Batting first, South Africa were all out for 287 in 49.5 overs.

Opener Quinton Decock’s (124) and Rossi Vander Dasson (52)’s half-centuries helped South Africa to a better score. For India, Prasidh Krishna took three wickets while Jaspreet Bumra and Deepak Chahar took two wickets each.

South Africa did not have a good start. Janakman Malan (1), who scored a century in the last match, was dismissed by Deepak Chahar in the third over. Then in the seventh over, Temba Bauma (8) was run out. Chahar then returned Aiden Markrat (15) in the 13th over.

Decock and Dassan then combined at the crease to put on 144 for the fourth wicket to put Proteas back in contention.

India captain KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bowl India is coming down today with four changes. Suryakumar Yadav, Jayant Yadav, Prasidh Krishna and Deepak Chahar joined the team. Venkatesh Iyer, R Ashwin, Shardul Thakur and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were dropped. Youngster Ruturaj Gaikwad is yet to make his ODI debut.
