Turn your party into a real party.
Three is the crowd, but four is the party, says the proverb. But do four Really a party ? Four people might be fine for a dinner party, a game of cards or an exchange of women, but if you want to have a real party, you need to invite more people.
In Baldur’s Gate 3 you can have a total of four characters in your party at a time, but deciding who stays at camp while you run the world isn’t always easy. There is now a mod that changes this restrictive limit.
The Party Limit Begone mod allows you to have up to eight adventurers in your party instead of four. I tested it and it works perfectly, and it’s very easy to install. Just download the mod (you’ll need a free Nexus Mods account if you don’t have one) and extract the folder to your Baldur’s Gate 3 data folder, which is usually located at: steamappscommonBaldurs Gate 3Data
And that’s all. Launch the game and the launcher will warn you that it has detected that you are using a mod, but go ahead and launch the game. Once in the game, start by sending one of your companions back to camp. Then you can start adding characters to your party (including those you’ve kicked out). Your group will then reach a maximum of eight people instead of four. If you don’t have seven companions yet, remember that you can ask Withers to provide you with mercenaries and add them to your crew.
The downside: The mod only works in single-player, and you can’t use it in co-op – though I wouldn’t be surprised if a co-op solution comes soon. Also keep in mind that Baldur’s Gate 3 has only been out for a few days and we don’t yet know how mods can mess up or corrupt your save files. There will definitely be game updates that will break your modded saves, so back up your save files before playing with mods.
