It’s done! Logimar 241 and NGV Gabon have decided to increase the price of maritime transport tickets on the Port-Gentil-Libreville and Libreville-Port-Gentil line. In fact, from 1is Next March, all classes of the two shipowners will experience an increase. The management of Logimar 241 announced this on February 22 through its official Facebook page. This increase would be the direct consequence of the government’s failure to take their grievances into account.
“We regret to announce to you that following the failure to date to take into account our legitimate concerns which are on the Government’s table, we are informing you of the new price list as of March 1, 2024”specifies the management of Logimar 241.
For several years these economic partners have been brooding while facing a drastic increase in the price of industrial fuel set by the government at 1,145 FCFA and 585 FCFA at the pump. Customs fees for the transport of spare parts imported from abroad are also a problem for these economic operators in the Gabonese maritime sector. To make themselves heard once more by the government which is ignoring their cry of distress, they have jointly decided to increase ticket prices.
Thus, from March 1, 2024 the price of an economy class ticket for adults will be 42,000 FCFA compared to 35,000 FCFA, and for children aged 4 to 11 it will increase from 30,000 FCFA to 35,000 FCFA. As for unaccompanied children, it was set at 35,000 FCFA compared to 33,000 FCFA, and the price in business class is 55,000 FCFA instead of 50,000 FCFA previously. For children aged 0 to 3 who are carried, parents will have to pay an additional 5000 FCFA.
