Jeddah: The Ministry of Hajj Umrah has recorded a remarkable increase in the number of visas granted at the beginning of the new Umrah season which lasts for more than 10 months. 6,000 visas were issued within three days.
The number of visas issued has exceeded 20,000 in the two weeks since the start of accepting applications. As part of the efforts to facilitate the journey of pilgrims to the country, the ministry stated that the visa and immigration processes can be expedited with the help of the electronic system and digital platforms developed by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the relevant departments.
Pilgrims who wish to come from abroad can apply for a visa through the link www.haj.gov.sa/ar/InternalPages/Umrah.
You can also pay online. Ministry sources also said that the ‘Itamarna’ application has facilitated booking of dates for performing Umrah and visiting Rawda in Madinah following obtaining the visa.
