Foreign direct investment in Oman reached 17.981 billion riyals till the end of the second quarter of this year. Compared to the same period last year, there was an increase of 2.660 billion riyals. The total foreign investment in the manufacturing sector is 1.694 billion Riyals.
At the end of the second quarter of this year, 68.14 percent of the total FDI came from the oil and gas sector. Manufacturing sector contributed 9.42 percent, real estate and commercial projects contributed 5.84 percent and other sector contributed 7.88 percent. The number of applications for investment licenses through the Invest Easy portal is 18,726. This is the figure from when the service started on November 17 last year to November 9, 2022.
