With bad weather, the indoor playgrounds are very popular. In Uccle, an inclusive playground allows all children, even those with a disability, to enjoy the holidays.
Located on rue Boetendael in Uccle, “Le monde d’Ayden” is an inclusive playground. It is, according to the organization, a “sensory plainthought so that each child finds his place and can play and flourish safe and caring“. In this way, the games and activities were adapted to all children.
This is an initiative led by Lou Garagnani, mother of four children, including Ayden. He was born with a rare genetic disease. This mother therefore wanted create this space to meet the specific needs of his children.
In Belgium, one in three families is affected by a disability. However, inclusive places remain quite rare.
All information regarding “Ayden’s World” is available on the site internet.
