Including Wi-Fi and screens .. President Sisi inspects the Spanish “Talgo” trains

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inspected the Spanish “Talgo” train cars, and listened to a detailed explanation of them by the Minister of Transport, Eng. Kamel El-Wazir, regarding the capabilities they contain, including “Wi-Fi” and screens on the backs of the seats to display entertainment materials, and a public screen, and each seat includes a table For dining, family seating, each cart includes 7 cameras.

Transport Minister Kamel al-Wazir said, “Each vehicle includes seats for people with special needs, and bathrooms for people with special needs include a phone to be used in case of emergency for people with special needs.”

He added, “The train cars include a control room… as each car includes 7 surveillance cameras, which are monitored from the control room, and the room also includes computer sensors for each car in the event of a malfunction of any car, which is recorded on the computer,” explaining that each car is recorded on the computer. Train include (buffet).

He explained that the third line starts from the Adly Mansour station to the Rod El-Farag axis in the north and Cairo University in the south, with a length of 41-42 km in full, and there are 34 stations that will carry regarding 1.5 million passengers.

Kamel Al-Wazir added that “the first stage of this line (Ataba – Al-Abbasiya) and then the stages followed… until we finished today the third stage (A), which starts from Ataba to Kit Kat. The entire stage is 17 km, with 15 stations for half a million passengers. The first part of it is 3 (A) from Ataba to Kit Kat.. This is a very important area that crosses from Ataba, the most important commercial and residential square in Cairo, to the Kit Kat area, which is densely populated.”

He said, “We are ready today for the trial operation of the (Safaa Hegazy) station in the Zamalek area. We ask your permission for the trial operation.”
