Al-Marsad newspaper: The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, decided to adopt the requirements of the work environment for the security guards sector, and to apply them to security guards institutions and their companies in the private sector; That directly or indirectly employs security guards, or entities that are obligated to set up a private civil security guard, and that directly employs security guards.
The requirements classify the security guard’s work environment into three categories: the first is the internal environment that is inside commercial complexes and similar banks and the like, the external environment that is outside buildings and exposed to fluctuating climatic conditions, and the environment of remote areas, which are facilities under construction and far from urbanization.
The requirements prevent the security guard from working for five continuous hours without a period of rest, prayer and food, provided that the break is not less than half an hour at a time, and a uniform must be provided for security guards in the facility, and adherence to what was stated in the procedural guide for occupational safety and health to prevent the effects of exposure to radiation Sun and heat stress.
The requirements also stipulate a set of physical equipment that the facility owner must provide, and it varies from one facility to another according to the work environment in which the security guard works.
