Several people were injured overnight from Friday to Saturday in the capital in a series of separate incidents, law enforcement said.
In Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, one person was shot and injured. There was also a fight in a café in Saint-Josse, as well as at the De Brouckère metro station, the police said, confirming information from Sudinfo.
The first incident occurred around 1 a.m. in a café on rue Verbist in Saint-Josse where the police were called for a fight between two individuals. Injured, one of them had to be hospitalized. His days, however, are not in danger. The cause of the fight has not yet been determined.
A little later, around 3:45 a.m., two homeless people came to blows in the De Brouckère metro station, following having managed to force access to the station, which was closed at that time, with a third sidekick. One of the two protagonists had to be taken to the hospital to treat his injuries.
Finally, around 7 a.m., rue de la Carpe, in Molenbeek, a person was shot and injured in circumstances that are still unclear. The state of health of the victim was, Saturday followingnoon, uncertain. An investigation has been opened.
