According to Yonhap News, T’way Air Flight TW216, which departed from Narita Airport in Tokyo, Japan, collided with a bird while landing on the runway at Incheon Airport at 9:28 p.m. A loud noise and sparks occurred as the bird was sucked into the engine. It is reported that flames were visible from the engine, but there was no fire.

A fire report was reported to the airport authorities, and the Incheon Airport fire brigade was dispatched. The plane landed safely at 9:41 PM following a go-around (retakeoff following a failed landing). It is said that all 122 passengers were not injured. The airline plans to conduct engine inspections to ensure safe operations.
