The inauguration of 50 elected members of the Depok City DPRD, West Java (Jabar) is scheduled for Tuesday, September 3, 2024. They were elected through general elections on February 14, 2024, and were inaugurated for the 2024-2029 period.
This was conveyed by the Secretary of the Depok City DPRD, Kania Purwati, that the inauguration of the 50 new legislators was held at Building A of the Depok City DPRD, Jalan Boulevard, Kota Kembang, Cilodong, Depok City on September 3, 2024.
Kania added, the inauguration ceremony was held in a Special Plenary Meeting. In the plenary, 50 elected DPRD members will be sworn in by the Head of the Depok City Court.
The former Head of the Depok City Trade and Industry Service explained that during the oath-taking, there would also be a handover from the old leadership to the temporary DPRD leadership.
“This temporary leadership will have the task of creating rules of procedure or tatib and forming factions. At the same time, it marks the end of the term of office of the previous DPRD members,” explained Kania, Sunday (25/8).
Kania hopes that the inauguration of the new members of the Depok City DPRD will bring positive breakthroughs and better development sustainability for the City of Depok.

“Hopefully success and prosperity will always accompany their steps in carrying out the people’s mandate,” he said.
It was said that the inauguration of the new DPRD members was awaited as an important moment for representatives of the Depok City community to begin their duties in serving the community.
In the inauguration, taking the oath of office, all former mayors were invited. So were the old DPRD members. “All were invited. The invitation was the same as 5 years ago,” he said.

Kania said that ahead of the inauguration day of the elected Depok City DPRD members, her party had begun making various preparations, one of which was preparing the inauguration uniforms.
“For the preparation of the inauguration uniforms of 50 DPRD members, the budget has been prepared. Technically and materially, the preparation for the inauguration of DPRD members is mature. The budget comes from the APBD,” he explained.
Separately, the Chairman of the Depok City General Election Commission or KPU, Willi Sumarli, said that he had submitted a copy of the proposed inauguration of the elected candidates for the Depok City DPRD for the 2024-2029 period to the Mayor.
“We have conveyed this to the Mayor to be immediately conveyed to the Governor. A copy has been submitted,” he said.
For information, the number of seats won by each political party in Depok City in the 2024 Election is PKS 13 seats, Gerindra 8 seats, Golkar 7 seats, PDIP 6 seats, Demokrat 5 seats, PKB 5 seats. Then, PPP 2 seats, PAN 2 seats, and NasDem 1 seat and PSI 1 seat. Total 50 seats (KG/P-3)
