Inameh forecasts temperatures of up to 40°C in some parts of the country this week

In the next few days, temperatures can reach 40° Celsius in the country, informed José Pereira, president of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh). This in the midst of the typical heat wave at the end of March and beginning of April, which is traditionally associated with Holy Week.

“Practically the whole territory has high temperatures. It is typical at this time of year and also in the months of August and September,” Pereira said in an interview with Wave The Superstation.

He explained that these waves of heat are due to “the direct incidence of the sun’s rays.”

“It is important not to be exposed directly to the sun’s rays between 12:00 noon and 3:00 in the followingnoon because it is directly that we have the rays over Venezuela. In addition, it entails a problem of the increase in forest fires, which are produced by the hand of man”, he emphasized.

He added that in Guárico, Apure and Barinas temperatures of up to 38 ° C are recorded in the shade during the followingnoon.

He also reported that during the week, in Cojedes, Guárico, Monagas, northern Amazonas, Apure, Caracas and Barinas temperatures of up to 40 ° C will be recorded in the shade.

On asphalt, he indicated, the temperature might be much higher.
