Summer lovers will soon be happy. The heat, which seemed to have taken a step back, is about to return. Despite the instability and bad weather of the last few weeks, which has hit much of our country with insistence, in some regions temperatures are about to “rise exponentially”. Word from the team of experts at ilmeteo.it. In reality, we read on the website, “we will find ourselves with an Italy substantially divided in two from a thermal point of view”.
What should we expect? On the one hand, “we will feel the fresh and unstable currents driven by a deep cyclonic circulation”; on the other, “the same cyclonic area will attract hot winds from North Africa which will influence our South and marginally the Center”, meteorologists anticipated. The first date to mark on the calendar is Tuesday 24 September, when temperatures will start to rise especially in the southern regions, “with peaks of 31°C in Sicily”.
However, thermometers will show high values especially from Wednesday 26 September, “when maximum temperatures will progressively rise until they reach peaks of 34/35°C in Sicily and in any case exceeding 30°C in much of the South”. The heat will be felt again also in the Centre, so much so that “by Friday 27 September, values around 26/27°C will be reached in cities such as Florence, Rome, Ancona, Terni and Pescara”.
