In Vilnius, a very busy agenda for Volodymyr Zelensky.

Vilnius Summit, Day 2. It is this Wednesday that Volodymyr Zelensky meets US President Joe Biden in the Lithuanian capital. He has other bilateral talks on his agenda. In a tweet, the Ukrainian president announces the color: “Our defense is an absolute priority and I am grateful to our partners for their willingness to take further measures. More weapons for our warriors, more life protection for the whole of Ukraine! We will bring important new defense tools to Ukraine. Bilateral meetings are planned with the Americans, Canadians, Germans, British, Dutch, Japanese and other partners. The first inaugural meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council is also scheduled”.

A few hours earlier, the Ukrainian president adopted a less diplomatic tone. He accused NATO of being “indecisive” and “weak”, disappointed that no precise timetable was outlined for Ukraine’s accession to NATO once the war was over. “We will invite Ukraine to join NATO when the allies have decided and the conditions will be met,” said the final statement published Tuesday already. Very vague words. Volodymyr Zelensky did not get what he hoped for.
