In Veracruz, the Covid-19 pandemic was faced with committed personnel

VERACRUZ, Ver., August 18, 2024.- Within the framework of the Sixth Government Report of Cuitláhuac García Jiménez, Guadalupe Díaz, head of the Ministry of Health in Veracruz, said that health was the protagonist in this administration, because as humanity we face the greatest challenge in the last 100 years.

The SS faced the Covid-19 pandemic with committed personnel who provided timely and quality care.

He commented that hospital care was redirected and four expanded medical care centers were opened in sports facilities, in addition to the abandoned works of the mental health hospital in Orizaba and the maternal and child hospital in Coatzacoalcos being enabled for Covid care.

Thanks to the installed capacity, 13.6 million vaccines against Covid-19 could be administered in record time and the severity of cases could be reduced to reach the new normal.

The government also took on dengue fever head on, investing an average of 120 million pesos annually on insecticides, machinery, temporary staff contracts, travel expenses, clothing, protective equipment and vehicles.
