On Friday, April 7, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine increased the cost of excise stamps for alcohol and tobacco products.
“The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved amendments to the Regulation on the manufacture, storage, sale of excise tax stamps and labeling of alcoholic beverages, tobacco products and liquids used in electronic cigarettes”, — says in the statement.
In accordance with the resolution, on April 7, 2023, the payment for one excise stamp will be:
– for alcoholic beverages – from 0.35 hryvnia, that is, the price of the brand will increase by 0.16 hryvnia;
— for tobacco products/tobacco products for electronically controlled electric heating devices/liquids used in electronic cigarettes — from UAH 0.16 (plus UAH 0.07).
It is worth noting that the value of the excise tax stamp has not changed since 2014. The fee increase is explained by the increase in costs associated with the creation, storage and sale of stamps. The value of security paper is reported to have risen 2.1 times this year compared to 2022.
