Since August 1, employees and officials of UMPO (part of Rostec) have been prohibited from using smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers and other Apple-made equipment for official purposes. Corporate SIM cards cannot be used in these devices either. This is reported by the media with reference to the order signed by the managing director of the enterprise. It is noted that in return, employees will be given devices from other manufacturers.
In the corporate communications department, the enterprises did not comment on this decision to Bashinform.
Earlier it became known regarding the ban on the use of Apple technology for official purposes by Rostec employees, including organizations that are part of the state corporation. A corresponding ban has also been introduced in the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade since July 17.
