Tom & Josette. This is the name of the micro-crèche which is set up in an EHPAD in the heart of a residential area of Toulouse. A new place of life, discovery and sharing where older people rub shoulders with younger people thanks to this unique concept which has been a great success throughout the region.
Tom & Josette has established itself in Toulouse
“Tom needs Josette to grow well, and Josette needs Tom to age better!“, indicates the duo of entrepreneurs.
It is in the Henri IV medical residence (managed by DomusVi, a group of companies active in the field of health and accommodation for the elderly), in the Montaudran district of Toulouse, that Tom & Josette is implanted.
Recently renovated, the Residence now benefits from all the comfort of a recent establishment including the garden communicates… with that of the micro-crèche – which is considered the first network of intergenerational micro-crèches in France since its creation, by Astrid Parmentier and Pauline Faivre, in 2019.

A fusion of generations to meet all needs
“Tom grows up in a warm space with 12 other children, under the caring gaze of the 4 early childhood professionals, and the residents of the Henri 4 EHPAD”.
The objective of this merger is to facilitate intergenerational exchanges so that all (small and large) residents can share their interests (common or not) through fun and friendly activities such as gardening, baking or even reading… The Tom & Josette group thus wishes to develop social cohesion among some, motor skills among others, while reconnecting the different generations.
Supervised by a team of four professionals and pampered by the elders, the twelve children aged 0 to 3 years old in this new Toulouse micro-crèche can therefore live new adventures every day. “Josette is an integral part of Tom & Josette’s pedagogy, and meets Tom during the intergenerational workshops organized every day.”inform Pauline and Astrid about the website.
A concept that is a hit with adults and children alike
Already at the head of 13 establishments throughout the territory, including two in Occitanie (Albi and the Pink City), Tom & Josette transforms the places where our elders and children live into real family homes friendly, jovial and participatory. And thus responds to a double need: to meet others and awaken everyone’s curiosity in this secure environment.
And with two new crèches which should soon be built, the two friends encountered during their HEC Entrepreneurs Masters have clearly not finished expanding, because according to them, “no longer a Josette in France has to live far from Tom!“.
