The news of the death of American actor and DJ legend Stephen Boss, who committed suicide at the age of 40, topped social media in the United States, and the reactions of celebrities and politicians and words of consolation continue to flow since the tragic news was issued.
The reasons that led the DJ to commit suicide are not yet clear.
“I was saddened to learn of the passing of Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss, whom I knew years ago through my Let’s Move initiative. My heart goes out to his wife, Alison, and their three children at this difficult time.”
Allison Holker Boss, Boss’s wife, issued a statement announcing the death of the actor known as Twitch, saying, “It is one of the heaviest things on my heart to tell everyone regarding Stephen’s passing. He was lighting up everywhere he was.”
In the statement, which was published by the American magazine “People”, which specializes in celebrity news, a copy of it, Alison said, “He was the backbone of our family and the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
Ellen DeGeneres, American comedian and host of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” talk show, commented on the news of Boss’s death, saying: “I am devastated. He was charming and bright. He was my family. Boss joined the cast of The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a guest DJ, before becoming a regular fixture on the hit series, earning a promotion in 2020 and becoming Co-Executive Producer of the comedy show.
In turn, Robert Griffin, the American football player, wrote, “Today we pray for the family of Stephen Twitch Boss and all his fans… He left very early.”
Alexson concluded the statement with a message to her husband, saying, “Stephen…we love and miss you, and I will always save you the last dance.”
Los Angeles police received a call from a hotel on Tuesday, December 13, stating that Boss had been found dead following he shot himself, two days following he posted a dance video.
Twitch has appeared in several films and shows, including “Modern Family” and “Step Up All In”.
