Al-Marsad newspaper: A number of livestock dealers revealed the reasons for the high prices of livestock in the Kingdom’s markets, saying that this is due to the seasonal period and the high prices of feed.

According to a report by Al-Arabiya channel, the prices of livestock range from 1500 riyals to 2200 riyals, an increase of up to 50% compared to their prices 6 months ago.

For his part, Abdullah Al-Qarni, a livestock dealer, said, during an interview with Al-Arabiya channel, that the reason for the rise in prices is the Ramadan season, then the holiday season, up to the Eid al-Adha season, when prices rise due to fodder and the monopoly of the market.

One of the livestock dealers, “Mohamed Al-Asmari,” agreed with him, saying: “Feeds are a major reason for the high prices and their monopoly by specific people who control the market.”

A livestock dealer pointed out that the livestock that were sold at 1,000 riyals six months ago are now sold at 1,500 riyals, and the livestock that were sold at 1,500 riyals, their price reached 2000 or 2,200 riyals.
