Al-Marsad newspaper: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Hani Jokhdar, revealed the reasons for the increase in cases of Corona virus during these days.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health said, in a telephone interview via Al-Ekhbariya channel: “There are multiple reasons that led to this large increase. People have been observing for a long time, but the commitment began to diminish, and they began to say that the symptoms are mild, and therefore there has become a societal indulgence.”
He added, “The infection increased, and from the day Omicron appeared in a new mutation, but the sequences that exist inside it every period lead to a high rate of infections worldwide.”
He continued, “These infections have not yet affected the health sector, due to the high immunity we have in the community, with the availability of various vaccinations.”
And he continued: “The immunity is high, thank God, more than 80% of the population were vaccinated with the two doses, and this is a very high number, and we also exceeded 80% of those targeted with the third dose.”
