Al-Marsad newspaper: Dr. Muhammad Qawkandi, a consultant ophthalmologist, explained that the saying “sight 6/6” means a description of the strength of vision.
During his intervention with the “Sabah Al-Saudia” program, he said that normal vision when it is 6/6, means the person’s ability to see from a distance of 6 meters what a normal person sees from a distance of 6 meters.
And he continued, if the sight is 12/6, then this indicates poor eyesight. Pointing out that this means that a person sees from a distance of 6 meters what a normal person sees from a distance of 12 meters.
He added, if we assume that sight is 6/6, then this means that a person sees from a distance of 6 meters what a normal person sees from a distance of 60 meters, and this means that the vision is very weak.
