In the video.. “Al-Za’aq” reveals how “Wadi Al-Rama” is the most famous and longest in the Kingdom..and highlights 3 benefits of its flow

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Weather expert Dr. Khaled Al-Zaaq explained: “Wadi Al-Rumma is the greatest, longest and most famous valley in the Arabian Peninsula, and it is the only one that cuts it from west to east, indicating that Wadi Al-Rumma is one of the natural phenomena in the Kingdom.

He said, during a video clip he posted on his official account on Twitter: “In rainy times, it was a river running from the heights of the Hijaz to the Shatt al-Arab, and in the era of desertification, sand cut its limbs, turning it into 3 parts: Wadi al-Rama, Wadi al-Ajrdi, and Wadi al-Batin.”

He continued: “In the era of drought, it turned into a dry river that rises three times every year, and with climate changes, it began to run at close intervals.”

He added: “The course of Wadi Al-Rama was one of the ancient global trade routes linking Asia and Africa, and its flow has many benefits, the most important of which is that it renews the fertility of the land, nourishes the wells and reduces its salinity.”
