Al-Marsad Newspaper: A consultant oncological surgery, Dr. Mohamed Hassan, revealed the causes that lead to cervical cancer.

Hassan said, during his appearance on Al-Ekhbariya channel, that the main cause of cervical cancer is sexual diseases, which come through the human papilloma virus.

He pointed out that 80 to 90% of cervical cancers are caused by this papilloma virus, and it spreads among women by 90%.

He continued, “Cervical cancer appears in the reproductive age in the twenties or thirties, unlike ovarian or uterine cancer that appears following the age of 50.”

Hassan continued his speech, that the symptoms are the presence of disturbances in the menstrual cycle, and blood can come out of the woman at other times.

He concluded: “You may experience bleeding or secretions with intercourse sometimes, and the descent of a sticky or watery substance, confirming the presence of a problem in the cervix.”
