In the third T20 match, Pakistan defeated England by 5 runs

Thanks to a career-best innings by all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez, Pakistan defeated England by 5 runs in the third T20 match and leveled the series at 1-1.

Playing first, Pakistan scored 190 runs for 4 wickets in the allotted overs, in response to which the England team scored 185 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.

In the final T20 match of the three-match series, England won the toss and decided to field first against Pakistan.

Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman started the innings for Pakistan, but Fakhar Zaman returned to the pavilion after scoring only 1 run.

Pakistan’s second wicket fell on a total score of 32 when captain Babar Azam was dismissed for 21 runs.

Debutants Haider Ali and Mohammad Hafeez then put in a brilliant batting display and both completed half-centuries.

Mohammad Hafeez scored his third consecutive T20I half-century while Haider Ali became the first Pakistani to score a half-century on his T20I debut.

On a total score of 132, Hyder Ali was dismissed for 54 runs after which Shadab Khan came in to bat and was dismissed for 15 runs.

Mohammad Hafeez scored 86 off 52 balls with the help of 6 sixes and 4 fours and Imad Wasim remained not out by scoring 6 runs.

Pakistan scored 190 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted overs. On behalf of England, Chris Jordan took 2 wickets while Moeen Ali and Tom Curran took one wicket each.

On behalf of England, Tom Benton scored 46 runs and Moeen Ali scored 61 runs. Shaheen Afridi and Wahab Riaz took 2, 2 while Imad Wasim and Haris Rauf took one wicket each.

Mohammad Hafeez was declared the best player of the match and series for his outstanding performance.

In the third match, Haider Ali, Sarfaraz Ahmed and Wahab Riaz were included in the Pakistan team while Haider made his debut.

Apart from this, fast bowler Mohammad Amir and wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan were rested.

Pakistan’s tour of England was completed with this match. The first T20 match was rained out while England won the second match.

Earlier, England also won the three-match Test series by 0-1.
