In the Sverdlovsk region, a man died because of an elk on the road. The tragedy occurred in the Berezovsky district on September 17 at about 20:00 on the 41st kilometer of the Rezhevsky tract.
The driver was driving from Rezh to Yekaterinburg and crashed into an elk. His gray Toyota Corolla was swept into the oncoming lane, along which a brown car of the same model was moving.
The driver of the brown Toyota Corolla died at the scene. A relative of the deceased driver, who was traveling with him in a car, was brought to the traumatology department of the Berezovskaya Central City Hospital with injuries of varying severity. According to the driver of the gray Toyota, the moose suddenly appeared on the road, the driver applied emergency braking, but the collision could not be avoided, the press service of the traffic police for the Sverdlovsk region said.
