Today, Representative Dr. Ghada witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Giza Governorate, the Ministry of Health and the Women’s Issues Foundation to serve women’s health in Giza, the first phase of implementation in the Bahariya Oasis Hospital and Boulaq El Dakrour Hospital.

The protocol aims to take care of women’s health and provide reproductive health services at Boulaq El-Dakrour Hospital and Bahariya Oasis Hospital, especially the follow-up of pregnant women in the Bahariya Oasis area who are exposed to genetic blood diseases as well as newborns where they are born with genetic blood diseases that exceed 80% in Bahariya Oasis, which affects reproductive health and demographic characteristics .
In accordance with the terms of the protocol, the Egyptian Women’s Issues Foundation provides financial support for establishing family planning units and equipping them with infrastructure, equipment and devices estimated at a maximum of one and a half million Egyptian pounds during 2022 and the first quarter of 2023, in addition to providing technical and administrative support to the unit and implementing and financing a number of the unit’s activities, including . Conducting periodic evaluation and developing development plans in partnership with the Ministry, Bulaq Hospital and Bahariya Oasis Hospital
The protocol starts from the date of its signature until the end of December 2025.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Sameh El-Ashmawy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Giza, Azza Soliman, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for Egyptian Women’s Issues, Sherif Gamal, Vice President of the Trustees of the Foundation for Egyptian Women’s Issues, Mahasin El-Senussi as a woman, philanthropist, and journalistic writer interested in women’s affairs.
