In the presence of a delegation from the Madrid club, celebration of the 17th anniversary of the Peña of Real Madrid in Tetouan

“They came, they’re all here, even those from southern Italy, the mamma…. “. It was the voice of the French singer who sang. He welcomed the many Spanish and Moroccan guests. All were with family. All spoke the same language, that of the universal dialect of football.

A single and unique occasion of festivities and joy closely marked by friendship and the understanding of good Hispano-Moroccan neighborliness brought together nothing but friends.

We celebrated four major sporting events of renown: the 17th anniversary of the creation of the Peña of Real Madrid in Tetouan, obtaining the Madrid double (La Liga and the Champions League) and of course the return of MAT to the first professional division.

To celebrate these moments of sporting prestige, Mohamed Haidour and Anas Sordo, respectively president and deputy president of the Peña Remate organized a sumptuous musical evening with, as always, a table reserved for the Tangier press and a dinner in honor of the delegation. who represented the merengue club committee.

On both sides, there were Spanish and Moroccan families sitting at tables to discuss relations between the two countries and recall the glorious past of the friendly ties that united Spain and Morocco in history.

Happy, they shared the friendship dinner, a “pastila” and Moroccan skewers. They drank the traditional mint tea and savored Tetouan pastries. We found there Moroccan hospitality in all its colors.

To give more splendor and gaiety to the evening, the Andalusian music orchestra Mohamed Larbi Temsamani performed tunes that recalled the life together of Andalusian Spaniards and Moroccans from Tarik Benziyad to the Strait of Gibraltar.

The Spanish delegation consisted of Jose Luis Sanchez responsible for the social area of Real Madrid, Angel Campos godfather of the social institution and Peñas of Real Madrid, Jose Luis Peinado ex footballer of Real Madrid native of Tetouan.

On this occasion, the Peña Remate paid a vibrant tribute to four personalities:
1-Angel Campos director of the Peñas of Real Madrid in the world and architect of the creation of the Peña de Tetouan.
2-Ahmed Mgara Spanish-speaking writer and author of several works of Remate.
3-Zoubir Amine Arabic-speaking writer and researcher of Spanish football.
4-Abdelouahid Yacoubi ex player of the Spaniard of Tetouan and spectator of the clash Atlético de Tetuan-Real Madrid in 1951.

Exchange of speeches and souvenir gifts between Spaniards and Moroccans.

At the end of the evening, there was a historic phone call live from Madrid from the president of Real Madrid Florentino Perez who presented his best wishes for happiness and success to the “socios” of the Peña Remate for his 17th anniversary.

In fact, the reception was a success on all counts.
