Winnipeg advanced to the playoffs in the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Jets beat the Minnesota 3-1 on Tuesday to secure a place in the Stanley Cup. The team is eighth in the West table.

The team led by Rick Bowness returned to the playoffs following missing last year. Prior to that, the club participated in cup matches four times in a row.

Florida in the East was also guaranteed a spot in the Stanley Cup. This happened following Pittsburgh lost to Chicago (2:5), and Buffalo lost to New Jersey (2:6).

After 81 games, the Panthers secured a wild card with 92 points, with the Islanders and Pittsburgh claiming the last remaining spot in the East. Florida made the playoffs for the fourth straight season.

The final games of the NHL regular season will be held on Friday, April 14, local time.
