In the month of the environment, the Blas Pascal University (UBP) adds a new circular economy fair, a place to buy and sell items as a way to raise awareness regarding more sustainable practices and educate regarding recycling, reducing and reusing.
The second edition of the event will be this June 7 from 10 a.m. in the UBP Auditorium (Lt. Gral. Donato Álvarez 380, Argüello), with free admission, where there will be different stands of more than 20 local entrepreneurs.
From second-hand clothing to natural cosmetics, including mates, candles and decorative objects, these are some of the proposals for reused products that can be purchased at the event.
“This year the number of exhibitors who will bring their products to the fair doubled. This gives us the guideline that there is a growing awareness of caring for the environment and natural resources”, said Eugenia Alaniz, director of the UBP Environmental Management degree.
Circular economy fairs are an opportunity for citizens to offer and purchase different products with the aim of reducing pressure on the environment, stimulating competitiveness, innovation and economic growth from a new paradigm.
In addition, the same day there will be a workshop on organic pots (with prior registration) given by the teacher Carina López.
Within the framework of the month of the environment, from the direction of the Environmental Management careers they proposed spaces for debate on the main environmental problems on the circular economy, chemical emergencies and climate change.
