He President Javier Milei will travel to Washington DC tonight, where tomorrow he will speak at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), during the annual meeting that brings together leaders of the right in the United States, official sources reported. The trip will take place following responding, through the account of the President’s Office, to the threat of the governor of Chubut, Ignacio Torres, to cut off oil and gas if they do not send him sharing funds.

Milei will be one of the speakers at the meeting, which began last Wednesday and concludes tomorrow, in a meeting in which the former US president and candidate for the Republican Party nomination for a second term, Donald Trump, will also have the floor.
Other scheduled speakers include former White House adviser during the Trump administration, Steve Bannon; the president of the Spanish party Vox, Santiago Abascal; and the leader of the United Kingdom Independence Party, Nigel Farage, who was the main driver of that country’s departure from the European Union, which occurred on January 31, 2020, known as “Brexit.”
Former British Prime Minister Liz Truss will also attend; former US Secretary of Urban Development Ben Carson; the lieutenant governor of North Carolina, Republican Mark Robinson; former Pentagon chief of staff Kash Patel; and presenters and journalists such as Sara Carter and Megyn Kelly and the former US ambassador to Israel David Friedman, reported international agencies.
The President will not hold a formal meeting with Trump, who will speak at 12 (local time), while Milei is scheduled to speak at 2:55 p.m. (local time), according to the program released by the organizers.
Own Milei had announced in journalistic statements that the meeting with Trump was “very difficult,” since I was speaking before him, and due to his arrival on a scheduled flight they did not give the times for an appointment.
The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) is a summit that brings together conservative activists and elected representatives of the United States and which has been held since 2010, organized by the American Conservative Union, an association that has its headquarters in National Harbor, 19 kilometers from Washington DC.
Milei will remain in the United States until Sunday night, when he will return to Buenos Aires, and his arrival is scheduled for Monday morning.
