Kalpetta (Wayanad)> A tiger that killed a farmer in Pudussery Vellaramkunn, Wayanad was captured by drugging it in Kuppadithara. The tiger was spotted in the area in the morning and was caught by the forest guard team around 12.30 pm. After being shot, the tiger ran up the hill and fell unconscious in a banana plantation regarding 500 meters away. Then the forest guard team surrounded it. Muthang was placed at the Animal Care Center at Fourth Mile. The forest officials said that it is the tiger in Vellaramkunn during the preliminary assessment.
The forest department veterinary officer shot six times for the tiger. He was shot in the leg. He fainted following half an hour following being shot. The tiger fell following half-sleeping through the nearby fields and alleys. With this, the RRT team was trapped.
As soon as the tiger was spotted in the area, the locals reported it and it was easily captured. However, during the drug bust, the dangerous crowding of the locals caused concern. The police and forest guards asked the locals to retreat, leading to a scuffle. Locals also tried to capture the footage of the drugged tiger.
