In the first match of the Test series, England defeated Pakistan by three wickets.

In the match played at Old Trafford, the England team achieved the target of 277 runs for the loss of seven wickets thanks to the brilliant batting of Butler and Woakes.

With this win, England has taken a one-nil lead in the three-match Test series.

Pakistan team was bowled out for 169 runs on the fourth day of the first test match against England and Azhar Ali XI gave England a target of 277 runs to win.

On the fourth day of the first Test, Yasir Shah scored the highest 33 runs for Pakistan. England’s Stuart Broad took 3 wickets while Chris Woakes took 2 wickets.

At the end of the third day of the three-match Test series, Pakistan scored 137 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their second innings.

On behalf of England, Oli Popp 62, Butler 38 and Stuart Broad were prominent by scoring 28 runs, on behalf of Pakistan Yasir Shah scored four, Shadab and Abbas scored two each while Shaheen and Naseem Shah dismissed one player each.
