A fire broke out at a steakhouse near Section 1 of Daan Road in Taipei City this evening. The stove and exhaust pipe were burnt out. The fire was extinguished by the police within regarding 20 minutes. The initial estimate was that the burning area was regarding 4 square meters. The woman was taken to the hospital unharmed. The Taipei City Police Department was notified at 5:27 pm that there was a fire near a section of Daan Road, and immediately dispatched 24 fire trucks, 3 ambulances, and 4 command vehicles, and a total of 84 fire and ambulance personnel attended the scene.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found that the fire was located at the steakhouse on the second floor. They immediately pulled the water line to rescue and evacuate the personnel. After investigation, there was no one inside. The police extinguished the fire at 5:44 pm, and the initial estimate was that the burning area was regarding 4 square kilometers. The ruler, including the stove and the fume exhaust pipe, were burnt.
The police pointed out that a woman was frightened when the fire broke out. The ambulance at the scene assessed that she was not injured. For the sake of caution, the woman was still sent to the hospital for examination. The detailed cause of the fire remains to be further investigated and clarified.
