A few days later, the security authorities revealed that it was inferred that the perpetrator was under the influence of the narcotic substance abuse.
The episode embodied the presence of a young man who was not accepted into the university, and he showed some behaviors that were out of nature, and his family’s house was exposed to fire, and after a period of time, the security authorities were able, through follow-up and research, to discover that he had deliberately set his family on fire, in addition to deliberately killing his brother, By hitting him with a piece of glass, which led to his death and his mother, and he ended up killing his younger sister, and then his father.
“Tash Al-Awda” participated with the security and health authorities in raising awareness of this “toxic” substance, within the framework of the role of drama, by drawing the attention of families to the behavior of their children, and warning against falling into the “drugs” trap.
The State Security Apparatus, the Ministry of Interior, Drug Control, and health authorities have always been active in passing awareness messages to the community, to warn of the dangers of drugs in general, and of “shabu” in particular.
The narcotic substance is included in the family of amphetamine drugs, and it is known by several names, the most famous of which is “ice or crystal meth”, which is a very dangerous substance that causes addiction and leads to chronic physical and mental health problems.
It is difficult for the shabu addict to sleep after taking it, and he continues to suffer from chronic headaches, and he suffers from paranoia, hallucinations, distress and extreme sadness, in addition to waves of behaviors, such as “violence and hostility”, while overdose of the drug can lead to death. .
According to scientific studies, the duration of “crystal meth” in the blood is up to 12 hours, in the case of using the drug for the first time, while it can reach 24 hours if the person is not addicted and takes the drug “crystal meth” at intervals, while if If the person is addicted, the duration of the substance stays in the blood for up to 3 days.
With regard to the treatment of an addict of that substance, this may take from 6 to 12 months, as it includes withdrawing toxins from the body, which is the most difficult stage in most cases, due to severe withdrawal symptoms, represented by depression and nervous agitation, increased heartbeat, trembling of the limbs, and loss of speech. Then comes the stage of psychotherapy and behavioral change.
The danger of this drug exceeds; What is called in some countries of the Arab world as “the drug of the elderly”, is the danger of all types of drugs, including “heroin”, because it is directly related to “crime”, because of what the abuser feels from the heightening of the matter, linked to the tendency of hostility and hatred.
