In the end, a lawsuit… ‘Uma Musume’ users file a refund lawsuit against Kakao Games

Kakao Games was eventually embroiled in a refund lawsuit. Users of ‘Uma Musume: Pretty Derby (hereinfollowing referred to as Uma Musume)’ are filing a class-refund lawsuit once morest Kakao Games.

The litigation delegation consists of lawyers Shin Jae-yeon, Kim Hyun-kwon, and Tae-young LKB, and lawyer Lee Cheol-woo, a spokesperson for the user.

Users of ‘Uma Musume’ have been complaining regarding Kakao Games’ operation problems since last August. The issue of discrimination between Korean and Japanese servers, poor communication, as well as issues related to the ‘Kitasan Black SSR’-related event held in July, when the company suddenly started a server maintenance and the event ended prematurely to be. And on the 29th of last month, a ‘carriage demonstration’ was held in front of the headquarters of Kakao Games, starting a full-fledged public debate.

Kakao Games posted an apology several times to appease users. On the 17th, a user meeting was held for regarding 8 hours to answer questions prepared by users. However, as a result, the conflict was not smoothly resolved and eventually spread to a refund lawsuit.
