Entrance to the temple grounds was limited to 3,540 people.

On Saturday, April 15, the ceremony of the descent of the Holy Fire began in the Old City of Jerusalem. Many believers came to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher to attend the event, but the number of participants was limited this year. After the entrance was blocked at the request of the churches, a number of believers tried to break through the police barriers.

The footage shows how people are trying to break through the police who were on duty at the entrance. One of the employees fell while trying to stop a woman who ran through the fences.

The entrance to the territory of the temple was limited at the request of the churches to 3540 people.

Previously, the police received an order that the maximum number of visitors at the ceremony should be 1,800 people inside and another 200 outside.

Note that the descent of the Holy Fire is an ancient tradition, which means that the world is ready to meet the Savior – Jesus Christ. The ceremony consists of several rituals.
