Vienna (OTS) – A comprehensive healthcare reform is to be launched this year in the form of a legislative package. But the medical association is currently up in arms once morest it. She fears further deterioration for patients and doctors and a loss of power for the medical association.
How poorly is the Austrian healthcare system currently positioned and to what extent do the planned changes contribute to improving medical care? The hospitals are overloaded and, despite a high density of doctors, patients often have to wait a long time for appointments and treatments. What measures are actually necessary to improve health care? And does Austria now have two-class medicine with expensive elective doctors and statutory health insurance doctors who hardly have any time for their patients?
