In the case involving 47 people in the primary election, Dai Yaoting admits to subverting the country and is now conducting a case management hearing

The 47 people who participated in the primary election of the pan-democratic Legislative Council the previous year were suspected of violating the “Hong Kong National Security Law” and were charged with conspiracy to subvert state power. All 47 people have completed the process of being handed over to the High Court, and 29 of them have indicated that they will plead guilty , including Dai Yaoting, Dai held a case management hearing in the High Court today (28th), and he said through his lawyer that the plea submission will be no more than 2 hours. As for whether the sentence should be carried out before or following the trial of the defendant who pleaded not guilty, then remain neutral.

The 47 defendants involved in the case were also charged with one count of conspiracy to subvert state power, alleging that they conspired with others to subvert state power between July 1, 2020 and January 7, 2021. Among them, 29 pleaded guilty defendants, including Dai Yaoting, Au Nuoxuan, Zhong Jinlin, Zhao Jiaxian, Liang Huangwei, Xu Zijian, Cen Zijie, Mao Mengjing, Liu Zefeng, Huang Zhifeng, Tan Wenhao, Li Jiada, Tan Dezhi, Hu Zhiwei, Zhu Kaidi, Zhang Kesen, Huang Ziyue, Yin Zhaojian, Guo Jiaqi , Tan Kaibang, Liu Yingkuang, Yang Yueqiao, Cen Aohui, Wang Baiyu, Yuan Jiawei, Feng Dajun, Wu Miner, Fan Guowei and Lu Zhiheng. They will conduct case management hearings in the High Court in 11 batches.
