On January 20, the seventh Apple Store in South Korea opened, located in Seoul in the Hongdae district. This is an important milestone for Cupertino given that this is its hundredth store in the Asia-Pacific region. Apple split from a press release and some photos to celebrate the opening.

The store is located near Hongik University and is not surprising with its design: there are classic wooden tables as well as a pick-up area for online orders. Cupertino explains that more than a hundred people will work in this new store.

Customers who came for the opening are distributed with a small stylized Apple logo box containing stickers, a bag and other goodies. A wallpaper has been put online for the occasion, which you can Download here. Apple sessions intended to present the Freeform application will be organized every day, with a spotlight on local rapper Beenzino.

The first Korean Apple Store opened in 2018 in the upscale Gangnam district. Others quickly followed, and the pace is accelerating with no less than 3 new shops since the start of 2023.
