In Saudi Arabia, taxi fares have been increased to 10 riyals

Jeddah: Saudi Arabia has increased the fare for public taxis from 5 riyals to 10 riyals. In a four-passenger vehicle, passengers will have to pay a minimum fare of 10 riyals. The fare for a kilometer will be 2.1 riyals instead of 1.8 riyals. The waiting charge will be 0.9 riyals instead of 0.8 riyals. Public taxis that can carry five or more passengers have also been increased. The rate for meter opening has been increased by 21.67 per cent. The new rate will be 7.3 riyals instead of 6 riyals.

It was increased to 2.4 riyals per kilometer instead of two riyals. The waiting charge will increase by 22.22 per cent to 1.1 riyals instead of 0.9 riyals.
