In Saudi Arabia, cooling papers are allowed to be applied to vehicles to combat the intense heat

Riyadh: The General Directorate of Traffic has stated that vehicles can be fitted with cooling papers as part of preventing severe heat in Saudi Arabia. Papers that are limited in size and do not obstruct the view are permitted. If you violate the limit, you will have to pay a fine of 500 to 9000 riyals.

The Saudi General Directorate of Traffic gave the clarification regarding the permission. Cooling papers can be placed on vehicles to prevent heat in summer heat. But the authority has warned not to violate the limit. Application of cooling papers up to 30% thickness is permitted. A medical certificate is required to use more than the prescribed amount of papers. Otherwise, the traffic directorate has stated that they will have to pay a fine for violating the law. A fine of 500 to 9000 riyals will be imposed.
